Tallantyre Ltd. consists of one of the UK's largest galleries in which there are five exhibition rooms, a bespoke framing department, and two Interior Design showrooms (one in Morpeth and the other Bedlington). All shops are located in the beautiful county of Northumberland, UK.
The gallery has long shown work and sourced work for clients from local to international artists and seen the emergence and development of many collectable artists including Jose Royo, David Shepherd, Brian Wilson (Braaq), Gudrun Sibbons, and Alexander Millar to name but a few. This is coupled with an enviable external programme of exhibitions, many of which the gallery has been attending for over 10 years. These include the Affordable Art Fairs in London & Bristol, as well as other independent shows across the UK (Cambridge, London), Ireland, Scotland and Australia.
New for 2015 is Tallantyre Gallery Website where you can buy some of our beautiful original art work and get it shipped to your door or collect from either of our stores.
The Tallantyre family first opened its doors for business in the early fifties and it remains a family run company to this day. Initially set up by Olive Tallantyre in Bedlington, decorating and design had long been a vocation by family members who decided to put their experience and knowledge into the paint and paper business.
Robin Tallantyre, son, joined the company, alongside siblings Ann and Ted. Robin extended the company to include the Morpeth showroom, extended ranges and interior services to include the design departments, furniture, lighting and art supplies. In the early 90's a branch opened in the Metro Centre, Gateshead, but closed some years later. The interiors site can be visited at www.tallantyre-interiors.co.uk.
Third generation, Martin Tallantyre, joined the team to develop its successful and nationally recognised Art Gallery (within Morpeth premises). The gallery boasts an enviable collection of local and international artist's work with a programme of events that include exhibits at national Art Fairs.
Tallantyre Ltd. continues to promote its belief in high quality goods, range of products, services and customer care.
