Born in Leeds in 1971. Sheryl studied at Jacob Kramer School of Art and then went on to graduate from Leeds University. Several years of teaching in schools and colleges led her in 2001, to become a full time artist - working from her studio in Hyde Park. Sheryl's latest body of work is directly inspired by the changing skies over the vast Yorkshire Dales - a place she finds mysteriously fascinating. 'A place that evokes emotion as reflective light seems to divide light in every direction'. Preferring to paint at dawn - a time of solace and awakening - she aims to capture changing light and effects this has on our emotions Sheryl's work has been much acclaimed through exhibition and private commission throughout the UK and Europe.
